Community Involvement

Tyler Terry is a tremendously active volunteer despite his various commitments and active business and family life.  His service and volunteer leadership are an asset to Hoag Hospital Foundation.

Tyler Terry has been involved with Hoag Hospital Foundation since 1994 and currently serves as Vice Chair to 552 Club Board.  With Tyler's leadership and commitment to the Foundation, the 552 Club has raised more than $40 million for Hoag Hospital since it's founding in 1966. 

Tyler has been an active volunteer, leader and Chair for both the Charity Shoot and the Christmas Carol Ball.  In 2010 the Hoag Hospital's 44th Annual "Christmas Carol Ball", hosted by Tyler and Pamela Terry netted an estimated $675,000 to benefit key areas of the Hoag umbrella of services.

Tyler was instrumental in getting his network office to sponsor the Toshiba Classic Golf Tournament.  During the last 13 years, the Toshiba Classic has raised over $13 million for charity.

The Waltos Group is proud to be an annual sponsor of the Toshiba Classic.  This tournament brings thousands of Orange County residents together to watch some of golf’s legendary players. The tournament’s primary beneficiary, Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian, is a nationally acclaimed hospital that brings world-class healthcare to the community. Also supported isthe Toshiba Classic Scholarship Fund, which donates scholarship funds and Toshiba laptop computers to some of Orange County, California’s high school elite. The Toshiba also raises funds to support more than 20 local charities.  In the past 13 years the Toshiba Classic has raised over $13 million.
